Try the below technique with your dreams. Let us know how it works for you. (Suggestion: This is a new feature in dream interpretation. It often takes lots of practice before people new to this step become at ease with it. Defining whole dream phrases is a giant move forward in finding personal meanings in dreams.)
Dreams often pull from the past to give guidance in the present. With the PMID model, the dreamer uses his or her knowledge of personal experiences to find meaning to whole phrases taken directly from the dream (instead of primary reliance on one-word symbols). (This is PMID Step 3). For instance, below are two phrases from a dream and the dreamer's personalized meanings based having passed the CPA examinations some time before the dream:
Dream Phrase: Seventy-five the figure in my mind for a passing grade: Dreamer’s Definition: Instilled in my mind is seventy-five as a passing grade. It is the passing grade for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examinations.
Dream Phrase: Teacher saying percentage we need to pass this class is Seventy-Six. Dreamer’s Definition: Suggests that I need to learn through my "sixth" sense, my intuitive sense.
[PMID Step 3: Select all major dream phrases (and symbols) in your dream and write your personal definitions for each in the context of this dream. Example: Dream Phrase -- Opportunity to buy an organ. Dreamer’s Definition -- I prefer the piano. In the context of this dream, the person who asked me for a date yesterday is not my preferred type.]
